The Role – Project Manager Associate for Open Innovation Programs

As a Project Manager Associate, you will support the day-to-day operations of the Open Innovation Programs & Projects, overseeing and controlling all aspects to ensure successful delivery within the approved budget and schedule. You will be a key part of the Project Management Office (PMO) of Mantis BI, tasked to translate the client’s problems into appealing challenges for the Innovation and Startup Ecosystem, coordinate the work of the project team, and facilitate the project’s successful implementation while maintaining a high-quality standard towards satisfying the client’s needs and expectations.

 

Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects

• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget

• Developing project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring project feasibility

• Ensure resource availability and allocation

• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress

• Manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs

• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques

• Report and escalate to management as needed

• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders

• Perform risk management to minimize project risks

• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors

• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

 

Requirements

Α) Hard Skills

1. Education:
   1. Degree in Engineering, Business or a related field
   2. Proficient use of MS Project or Primavera, MS Office, MS Teams
   3. Fluent in English (C1/C2 level)
2. Experience:
   1. Relevant working experience

 

B) Soft Skills

• Strong organization skills to prioritize workload

• Strong analytical skills to evaluate problems/opportunities and drive cost-effective solutions

• Effective interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills

• Results and action oriented

 

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

• MBA or MSc/MEng in Engineering, Business, Project Management, Industrial Management, Operations Research or a related field will be considered an asset

• Experience in Open Innovation Programs & Projects will be considered an asset

• PMI PMP certification will be considered an asset

The Open Innovation Program

A typical Mantis BI Open Innovation Program consists of the following phases:

Planning Phase 

• Meet with the client and key project stakeholders to identify their needs and expectations

• Coordinate Mantis BI’s Innovation Department to define framework of Open Innovation program, with support from

• Develop the Project Management Plan (scope, schedule, budget), and set smart objectives, milestones, KPIs and deadlines.

• Baseline the project.

• Coordinate Mantis BI’s Marketing Department to develop Marketing Plan, Communication Plan, program brand identity & an effective community building strategy.

• Coordinate Mantis BI’s Tech Department to develop the Project webpage and configure Mantis Innovation Management Software, in accordance with client guidelines.

 

Implementation Phase 

• Coordinate Mantis BI’s Departments (Marketing, Innovation, Business Creation, etc.) to implement project tasks

• Communicate and align with the client, the project team, the partners, and all external stakeholders.

• Coordinate and support the development of deliverables

• Track and report project progress

• Plan and implement the Open Innovation Program Info Day, based on the project’s scope, and target group.

 

Evaluation & Pitching Phase 

• Develop and implement the event(s) based on the scope and the client’s and stakeholders’ needs and expectations.

• Monitor & control procurements and supplies for the event(s).

• Ensure optimal flow and implementation of the event and a dynamic pitching competition.

• Manage after-event activities and ensure customer & participant satisfaction
